This website is (currently) hosted on a Raspberry Pi 5 with a 2TB SSD. I run all of my
services on this computer.
A short list of the services I am currently self-hosting on this device:
This website via nginx
Immich photo server (would highly recommend!)
Jellyfin media server
Syncthing file server
Minecraft server
The RPI is directly connected to my router
over CAT-6. The Pi is running RpiOS, and I have forwarded port 22 on my router to it
so that I can perform system administration tasks from anywhere. When I first did
this I noticed that I was getting bots from all around the world (China, Brazil, Russia)
trying to guess my root password at all times at a rate as fast as allowed by my sshd
configuration. Soon after I switched to ssh-key based authentication, and have
never looked back since.
